He is our model and our example in everything we think and do.
= = =

This is, of course, something we often see and hear. While it probably can persuade some people, it is not very good reasoning theologically and Biblically. Jesus' baptism was so unlike Christian baptism that attempting to draw parallels between the two is not all that helpful.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13239642954822364008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7815675.post-1647789112687146752007-12-10T15:17:00.000-07:002007-12-10T15:17:00.000-07:00So, how is it that a much-loved brother in Christ,...So, how is it that a much-loved brother in Christ, former minister of yours & mine, objects to Paul Williams and the Christian Standard? Sometimes it is pretty good! Other times like the first issue of 08, pretty bad (check out the articles about organic community).

Blessings,
Hawkeye GoldAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7815675.post-77444196651431043312007-12-01T16:20:00.000-07:002007-12-01T16:20:00.000-07:00Hi Michael,Stumbled onto your website and noticed ...Hi Michael,

Stumbled onto your website and noticed your comment about our church's position on baptism. I'd venture to say that we've lost more than 400 people in the last 7 years because of our insistence that baptism is a part of the process to receive salvation (Belief, Repentance, Baptism). If it isn't clear on our website then that's something we'll need to address. Appreciate what you do.

Brian Jones
www.brianjones.com
www.moviechurch.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7815675.post-17486605982946897822007-11-02T11:56:00.000-07:002007-11-02T11:56:00.000-07:00But isn't it interesting that, with all that is sa...But isn't it interesting that, with all that is said at the church's website about baptism, the very important point about "forgiveness of sins" is never mentioned?

Sometimes part of the truth is worse than a lie!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13239642954822364008noreply@blogger.com
